The Cost of a Share

A "share" is a quantity of food. Our share provides between 5-18 lbs. of produce each week (average of 12 pounds) throughout the season.

Each weekly share will be determined by what is ready to be harvested. We grow over 150 different varieties of produce, from spinach and cucumbers to sweet corn and heirloom tomatoes. Every week throughout the season you will be presented with an array of produce to choose from.

Early spring distributions will be smaller, but the size of the share will increase as the season progresses. We strive to provide you with as much choice as possible when you pick up your share. We also strive to ensure that membership in the farm is accessible to all income levels.

The cost of the share for the 2008 season is based solely on production to give you the best deal on local fresh, organic produce.

The cost of a local share (on farm pick-up) is $435
The cost of a delivered share (Syracuse, Clinton, Utica, Cazenovia and Oneida) is $465

A share includes many benefits:
Weekly pick up of fresh local produce harvested and pre-washed Access to a wide variety of Pick-Your-Own crops (PYO) such as sugar snap peas, green beans, cherry tomatoes, basil, cilantro, dill and array of cut flowers to name just a few. A weekly newsletter "The Thread" filled with news and info about what's happening on the farm as well as recipes and ideas about how to store and prepare your veggies It's your farm- we encourage all members to come picnic, explore, go for a walk and enjoy the landscape. This is a community space. Connection to a community- celebrate life, friendship, food, art, and politics with folks who share a common interest. Annual farm events, seasonal potluck dinners, movies projected behind the barn and so much more!

For all shares you can either pay the full amount, or put down a non-refundable deposit of $125. Two more equal payments will be due on May 31 and July 31 to pay off the remaining balance. Two payments of $155 for local shares or 2 payments of $170 for delivered shares
