Pick-Your-Own (PYO) Crops

When they are in, Pick Your Own Crops are available to pick any day of the week during daylight hours.  Check the box to the right to see what is available. When you come to the farm, you can go in the the barn and look to your right where you can check the picking locations and limits on the chalkboard and grab a container or clippers.

Each year we will offer an abundance of Pick-Your-Own (PYO) crops at the farm. These are crops that you pick yourself.  Most produce will be picked and washed for you to choose from here at the farm. However, we offer Pick- Your-Own crops to give farm members the opportunity to get out there in the field and have some fun picking!

Whether you pick up your share here at the farm in Madison, or have a delivered box share, we encourage all farm members to come and enjoy the benefits of the farm. Come out with the kids, have a picnic or go for a stroll out in the fields and get some ingredients for dinner.

PYO crops will vary with the season.  Here are a few of the PYO crops you can enjoy:

  • Sugar snap and snow peas
  • Green beans
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Tomatillos
  • Flowers, an array of fragrant and colorful varieties
  • Basil
